Scottrade to open Bellingham branch

Scottrade, a branch-supported online investment firm, will be opening its Bellingham office in Bakerview Square on Monday.

The Bellingham office is the 10th Scottrade office in Washington state and will be managed by Ray Austin.

The branch will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We feel it is important to have branch offices where our customers work and live,” said Rodger Riney, Scottrade founder, in a press release.

“While most of our customers trade online, our local branch offices allow us to provide a better customer experience.”

Scottrade does not provide investment advice, but brokers are available at branch offices to answer accountrelated questions, provide customer service and offer tutorials on Scottrade’s online trading services.
